So I called my agent today and said, "Can you hurry up and sell my novel? I could, seriously, get hit by a bus at any time."
Hello, friends, Romans, fellow writers and dreamers. No, I didn't actually do it--I sent a rather ordinary email asking if he'd heard anything regarding his latest submissions on my behalf.
He responded quickly:
"No nibbles yet."
But I couldn't shake the sudden sense of urgency--a kind of crazy manic need to get my dream-kite flying--so I decided to create a blog and a website.
And this is my first post.
Am I a children's author? No yet.
For now I am proud to be a children's writer.
